LAKE RULES
- It goes without saying we operate a NO-KILL policy and all fish must be returned to the water in the best conditions without delay.
- Keep nets are prohibited for carp over 12kg.
- Fish over 50lb / 23kg are to be photographed in the water.
- Large landing nets and large well padded unhooking mats are obligatory. These are available to rent on site.
- Carp sacks are prohibited.
- Max. 4 rods per angler.
- Micro-barbed or barbed hooks only.
- Minimum 15lb / 0,35mm line.
- No braid or lead core allowed.
- No debutants. All novice anglers learning to carp fish must be accompanied by another experienced carp angler with several years of carp angling knowledge. You will not be allowed to fish for carp on your own if you do not have enough experience of handling large carp or knowledge of carp care.
- Swingers are obligatory and they must be set in such a way that they can indicate clearly a drop back.
- Safety of the fish is of paramount importance, only rigs that reflect this will be tolerated. Our bailiff has the right to inspect rods daily.
- Bait boats permitted, respect for neighbouring fisherman must be exercised at all times. Not your swim, not your business so keep within your limits.
- Fishing behind the lilies is not allowed.
- Entry into water for casting is permitted only to the height of knee length boots.
- No swimming allowed.
- We insist all anglers to carry antiseptic, on sale in the shop for those who are without.
- Anyone leaving rods unsupervised or behaving unreasonably will be asked to leave immediately with no refund.
- All gates to the lake must be kept closed at all times.
- Vehicles are not authorized around the lake, all vehicles must be parked in the specified parking areas.
- You must respect the environment, flora and fauna at all times.
- All rubbish to be put in black bags and placed in the dustbins provided.
- Cigarette ends (with or without filter) are not to be thrown on the ground or in the lake.
- Toilets and showers are to be left in a clean condition, as you would hope to find them. Use of the toilets is obligatory (don't shit in the woods!!!), swims and all areas must be kept clean and free from toilet paper.
- Shelf Life boilies or plastic baits are not permitted.
- Only 1 non-fishing guest per angler (except minors).
- No dogs allowed on peg 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8 (irrespective of size or breed). Dogs are permitted only with prior authorization of the proprietors.
- The proprietors are not responsible for any personal accidents, theft or loss of equipment occurring on the property at any time.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
- First come and find a member of staff to assist you. If you need hospital treatment, Tracey will go with you for translation. If this is not possible the International Emergency no is 112, or 15 for emergency services, 17 for police, 18 for ambulance.
- The neorest hospital is St. Junien and there is a doctor and pharmacy in Brigueuil.
- If you go in the boat please use the life jacket provided, it is your responsibility if you choose not to wear it.
